FRIEZE MASTERS Art Fair

Mai 36 Galerie is pleased to announce its participation at FRIEZE MASTERS 2019. We would like to welcome you at this years SPOTLIGHT section at booth G21.

50 years after their founding and 25 years after their last exhibition entitled “INFE©TED” at Mai 36 Galerie Zurich, Victor Gisler is delighted to show a rare selection of final works by General Idea at Frieze Masters Spotlight 2019. General Idea is a collective of three Canadian artists and was founded in Toronto in 1969 by AA Bronson, Felix Partz and Jorge Zontal. They operated as an internationally active artist group until 1994, when both Partz and Zontal died of AIDS-related causes.

The long-term relationship between General Idea and Mai 36 Galerie goes back to 1988.
