We are delighted to participate at Frieze Viewing Room 2020 with the project "Text & Image". Our selected works for Frieze London explore the relationship between what can be seen (image) and what can be said (word). The presented works illuminate how artists can uniquely elevate text and image beyond their singular function, often through omitting or combining, thereby revealing fertile combinations, co-dependencies or blurry distinctions between the two.
For this years digital-only edition of Frieze London, we introduce Mai 36 Galerie's “Virtual London Pavilion”. We invite visitors to experience our selection of works in this unique digital setting, blurring the lines of the physical and virtual world.
The Virtual London Pavilion ties into our ongoing dedication to increase global accessibility and sustainability in the art world.
